UC Berkeley lettuce project.
Third Street Hydroponics helped a team of eight UC Berkeley student to grow lettuce for their final thesis project. 1,400 heads of lettuce were produced in about a month and a half. They were all grown hydroponically and featured in ABC's Lisa Quinn's Home and Garden show. After growing the heads of lettuce, they were transported to a home in garden show in San Mateo where the student had built a high tech apparatus so the lettuce can be kept alive in a artistically pleasing way.
We donated:
Rockwool cubes.
Water.
Net Pots.
Nutrients.
pH up and down.
And we taught them new skills to take with them in their future of indoor gardening!
